CALL FOR PAPERS

Climate change, resource depletion, technological disruption, and social inequalities are all pressing issues. How we have approached these problems may no longer be sufficient. The urgency of climate action, the need for sustainable development, and the critical role of finance in achieving both are unprecedented challenges. New situations call for new ways of thinking to mitigate climate change through financial solutions and sustainable investments and adapt to its impacts by building resilience and securing financial resources.

Given these perspectives and imperatives, we are pleased to announce the 2024 International Symposium on Climate, Finance, and Sustainability (ISCFS-2024) after ten years of ISEFI conferences. Jointly organized by AVSE Global, EMLV Business School, and Paris Dauphine University - PSL (Climate Economics Chair), in partnership with the Department of Land Economy at the University of Cambridge and the UMI SOURCE at the University of Paris-Saclay, the Symposium aims to bring together a global community of leaders, experts, and innovators to address the above-mentioned interconnected issues. It also intends to be a focal point for new thoughts, developments, and challenges interrelating climate, finance, and sustainability.

The Symposium will take place IN-PERSON on 21-22 November 2024 at Paris Dauphine University, Paris, France.

  • Special Issue of Energy Economics on “Impacts of Geopolitical Conflicts on Regional Energy Security and Consequences for the Global Economy” under the Guest Editorship of Hung Do (School of Economics and Finance, Massey University, New Zealand), Duc Khuong Nguyen (EMLV Business School, France), and Russell Smyth (Monash University, Australia)
  • Special Issue in Journal of Forecasting on “Forecasting Carbon Prices in an Integrated Market Network” under the Guest Editorship of Hung Do (School of Economics and Finance, Massey University, New Zealand), Linh Nguyen (Nottingham University Business School, United Kingdom), and Thomas Walther (Utrecht University’s School of Economics, The Netherlands)
  • In consultation with the conference organizers and the Editors-in-Chief of Risk Analysis, Journal of Climate Finance, Development and Sustainability in Economics and Finance, and the Management of Environmental Quality, authors of the best conference papers will be invited to submit their papers to a regular issue of the associated Journals.
